John Desautels is a career real estate professional who majored in commercial real estate and business-marketing in college. John began his real estate career working on a For Sale By Owner real estate publication and followed that up with a stint as a real estate appraiser. John worked for several years as a top loan officer for an upstart mortgage lender in Columbus Ohio and was rapidly promoted to branch manager and transferred to Tampa Bay in 1998. After a financial crunch shuttered his former employers doors in late 1998; John became president of mortgageloans.com and built a rock solid diversified mortgage lending operation until the real estate crash in 2007-2008 forced him to rethink his career. John had maintained a Florida real estate license for many years and decided to refocus his career on the real estate side of the industry. John spent many years working with international 2nd home investor buyers due to his banking background and experience. John also thoroughly has enjoyed working with corporate and military relocation professionals in both the Florida and Colorado markets where John is our broker-owner. John thoroughly enjoys working with medical professionals who share his passion for medicine. John has worked a multitude of complex real estate transactions running the gamut of luxury homes, commercial, probate-estate and short sales. John divides his time between sunny Saint Pete Beach Fl. and upscale picturesque Douglas County Colorado where he and his wife are avid cyclists, hikers and nature lovers.
